Rating : G Summary : Memories of a childhood - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - microcosm mulder point of view darkstar - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We hunted them in twilight, when the summer hung thick over the pines and the citronella candles burned low, and your hair hung in wet pigtails down your back. We saw them as tiny fallen stars, spinning in orbits of their own whim, glowing Jupiter orange, and Sirius green through microcosm of jonquil fileds and magnolia groves. We ran with naked feet through damp grass in pursuit of minature constellations (how they danced in your eyes!) until we captured whole galaxies, the Milky Way in a Mason jar, and tucked them safely beside our beds. And every so often, we peered through the roof of our captive sky and smiled. We were only children, then.
